A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort in case you’ve got a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet astonishingly easy to work with, and it will enable you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks. All the email addresses that you have set up will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it for a second time will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.
